IBM Support

A malformed Java Message Service (JMS) message causes a repeating error in SystemOut.log file for IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)

Troubleshooting

Problem

A JMS message can be directly sent to the event manager. If one of these messages is not formated properly, it resides in the JMS queue (SIB tables) until it is cleared.

Symptom

The following error exists in the SystemOut.log file:

000003f3 wle           E   CWLLG2217E: Message Listener failed to handle the JMS message. Error: Malformed Event Manager message; missing expected <event> tag.
com.lombardisoftware.core.TeamWorksException: Malformed Event Manager message; missing expected <event> tag.
