Maintaining Progress database connection information

Troubleshooting

Problem

A consistent database connection to a Progress database is not maintained after upgrading the Intersolv ODBC driver. The driver has been updated to Intersolv 3.11 from 3.01. In one session of Impromptu, the connection information corresponding to an existing ODBC data source is entered in the database definition dialog box and saved. The process of creating a catalog and connecting the database functions correctly until the Impromptu session is exited. Opening and connecting to the same catalog in a new Impromptu session results in connection errors. The database definition dialog box shows that the dns, uid, and pid are now blank. Entering the information again in the same dialog does allow Impromptu to connect.
