Lucene index is not updated after upgrading to v7.6.1.3 or above

Troubleshooting


Problem

The Lucene index is not updated after PmObjSearchCron cron task runs.

Symptom

After PmObjSearchCron cron task runs, receive following error in SystemErr.log file: -
org.apache.lucene.index.IndexFormatTooOldException: Format version is not supported (resource BufferedChecksumIndexInput (MMapIndexInput (path = "/ opt / IBM / WebSphere / AppServer / profiles / ctgAppSrv01 / objsearchindex_EN / segments_3 "))): -9 (needs to be between 1071082519 and 1071082519). This version of Lucene only supports indexes created with release 6.0 and later. "
