Solution

|---|
None.

Workaround
|
|---|
The first part of a console redirection login is the BMC login. For the BMC login, configure HyperTerminal to send line feeds with line ends.
The second part of the console redirection login is the operating system login. If logging into a Windows server, leave HyperTerminal configured to send line feeds with line ends. If logging into a Linux server, configure HyperTerminal to NOT send line feeds with line ends.

Additional information
|
|---|
Windows and Linux process the "end of line" differently. Windows expects a "line end" and a "line feed" at the end of each line. Linux expects a "line feed" at the end of each line.
Because of this, HyperTerminal needs to be configured differently for Windows and Linux when performing a console redirection login.
The first part of a console redirection login is the BMC login. For the BMC login, configure HyperTerminal to send line feeds with line ends. The second part of the console redirection login is the operating system login.
If logging into a Windows server, leave the HyperTerminal configured to send line feeds with line ends.
If logging into a Linux server, configure HyperTerminal to not send line feeds with line ends.
