When installing patch 6.3.x-TIV-ITM-GSK-8.0.50.88-IJ06566 on locally on windows, the install fails with this error:

Bad return code from backup_prov.bat: 1

Unable to install the GSKit patch resulting...

Cause

Problem Resolving CANDLEHOME environment variable

Resolving The Problem

Steps to resolve install error:

Open windows command prompt, run

set CANDLEHOME=c:/IBM/ITM

echo %CANDLEHOME%

 

c:/IBM/ITM

 

After setting CANDLEHOME variable, cd to location of patch image

cd C:\ITMImages\6.3.x-TIV-ITM-GSK-8.0.50.88-IJ06566\6.3.x-TIV-ITM-GSK-8.0.50.88-IJ06566

run

itmpatch -h %CANDLEHOME% -i C:\ITMImages\6.3.x-TIV-ITM-GSK-8.0.50.88-IJ06566\6.3.x-TIV-ITM-GSK-8.0.50.88-IJ06566

Results should be

Command completed successfully.
