The Linux information development team is pleased to announce the release of our new hosting framework - Knowledge Center. Knowledge Center is IBM's one stop shop for information through a single, customizable interface. Knowledge Center is available at http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ .
All in one place
One of the biggest drawbacks when information is separated into different units is not knowing where to look. For example, let's use IBM PowerKVM information. PowerKVM is an IBM Linux offering that uses Power8 architecture. So where do you look for product information? Hardware? Linux on IBM systems? With Knowledge center, you do not need to know where to look because all the information is in the same, searchable place. Type "PowerKVM" into search and you have all the product information at your fingertips.
Search options
Knowledge Center offers additional search parameters as well. You can select a specific product to search by Add Product and then entering at least 3 characters of a product name. Your search results are then narrowed to those that are tagged with that product name:
Filters
You can also filter by Date Range, Tasks, or Operating Systems. For example, to narrow your search by information relating to Install, select Tasks -> Install and then Apply:
Save your finds
After you find what you are looking for, you can save these results and build customized information by logging into Knowledge Center with your IBM user name and password. Want to send a topic to someone? Select a topic and you can share it using Email, LinkedIn, or Twitter.
Customize
You can also save topics to a collection. Building a collection allows you to take individual pages from anywhere in Knowledge Center and customize your own topic. Collections dynamically update whenever a topic updates. You can change the order of your topics, add or delete topics, and build a PDF from the results.
Comment!
Finally, be sure to vote for your favorite topics by clicking the thumbs up (or thumbs down if you do not approve) and leave a comment us or for other users!
