Optim zOS supports XML and LOB columns. But what are the limitations on using these columns within the product?
Answer
1. They cannot be used as row selection criteria or with data transformation library functions.
2. Access editor and Browse utility display only the first 32K bytes of data. Data cannot be modified.
3. Compare cannot compare these columns.
4. LOB and XML data cannot be used in Column Map Procedures.
5. The AGE function is not supported for these columns.
