Launching Navigator for i from Access Client Solutions causes MSGCO1004

Symptom

When launching Navigator for i from an IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS) menu, the error MSGCO1004 is received.

This message indicates that the system name cannot be resolved to an IP address. You would either need to add a host table entry on the PC to resolve the name to and IP address or update the network DNS server.
