Launcher admin does not create a new LauncherAdmin.bin when using -IMPORT.

Problem

The IBM Transformation Extender Launcher admin script (LauncherAdmin.cmd / launcheradmin.sh) does not create a new LauncherAdmin.bin file when using the -IMPORT command line option. The operation instead appends to the file, increasing the file size.

Symptom

The launcheradmin command line utility does not create a new Launcheradmin.bin file when using -IMPORT.

Cause

This has been identified as a product defect under APAR PI65199

Environment

Using the IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) or IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) Launcher Administration command line utility (launcheradmin) to EXPORT an existing LauncheAdmin.bin file then use IMPORT to create a new Launcheradmin.bin file.

Diagnosing The Problem

The Launcheradmin.bin file size grows after using the Launcheradmin command line utility to IMPORT an exported XML file.

Resolving The Problem

Obtain patch for APAR PI65199.
