IBM Support

Known Limitations for connecting IBM Security Access Manager to IBM Cloud Identity

Troubleshooting

Problem

Only one SAML identity source is supported for each hostname configured on the IBM Cloud Identity service.

Symptom

The test link that verifies the connection between IBM Security Access Manager and IBM Cloud Identity fails.

Diagnosing The Problem

The SAML identity source is configured based on the ISAM point of contact URL you supplied when configuring the connection between ISAM and Cloud Identity. If you attempt to connect to the same Cloud Identity hostname with a different SAML identity source (using a different point of contact URL), the test connection may fail. IBM Cloud Identity supports only one SAML identity source for each hostname.

Resolving The Problem

If you require more than one identity source because your architecture has multiple identity providers, please work through the IBM support process so your subscription can be enabled to handle multiple identity providers.
