Abstract

Known limitations when using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox with IBM Case Manager.

Displaying swimlanes in Step Editor

Under some circumstances, Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox do not display swimlanes in Step Editor correctly.

Clear the browser cache, restart the browser, and log in to Case Manager Builder:

  1. Close the Step Editor without saving.
  2. Close the solution, saving any other changes that were made outside of the Step Editor.
  3. Log out from Case Manager Case Builder.
    (On Firefox, the problem might be solved by logging out and logging back in. If this does not solve the problem, repeat the steps and continue to step 4.)
  4. Clear the browser cache:
    - In Internet Explorer 8, click Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete, select both Temporary Files and Cookies, and then click Delete, and then click OK.
    - In Firefox, click Tools > Clear Recent History, select both Cache and Cookies, and click Clear Now.
  5. Close the browser.
  6. Restart the browser.
  7. Log in to Case Manager Builder.

Restart browser
If your Internet Explorer 8 session has been open for several days and operations in IBM Case Manager take longer than expected, log out of IBM Case Manager, restart the browser, and then log in to IBM Case Manager.

Searching with double quotation marks
If you enter keywords surrounded by double quotation marks in a search when using Internet Explorer 8, no results are returned. Try the same search without double quotation marks, or use another browser.
