Key Performance Indicator Report
Monthly report that provides summary data of key performanceindicators that measure the status of transportation functions. Comparisonsof the data are included to help identify trends and provide contextto the data.
The Key Performance Indicator report containsthe following fields:
- Parameters
Date Choice:
- Planned Departure From Origin
- Actual Departure From Origin
- Planned Arrival At Final Destination
- Actual Arrival At Final Destination
Reporting Month:
- Last Full Month
- Current Month to Date
Units:
- $/cwt (dollars per hundred weight)
- $/lb (dollars per pound)
- $/ton (dollars per ton)
Origin City:
- Shipment Origin City (All or starts with a wildcard)
Destination City:
- Shipment Destination City (All or starts with a wildcard)
In Tolerance Time: In tolerance time (minutes)
ShipmentType:
- Outbound: Delivered from Origin Type Owned or Third/Party toDestination Type Customer/Supplier.
- Inbound: Delivered from Origin Type Customer/Supplier toDestination Type Owned Third Party or Customer/Supplier.
- All: Delivered from any Origin Type to any Destination Type.
- Display Fields
Cost: Actual freight cost for category.
$/cwt: Actualfreight cost for category divided by total freight weight for 100pounds.
$/lb: Actual freight cost for category divided by totalfreight weight.
$/ton: Actual freight cost for category dividedby total freight weight for 2000 pounds.
% Cost: Actual freightcost for category as a percentage of total freight cost.
Lbs:Total weight for category.
% Lbs: Weight for category as a percentageof total weight for all categories.
% Cube: Cubic feet for categoryas a percentage of total cubic feet for all categories.
- Shipment Type
Inbound: From Customer/Supplier to Owned ThirdParty or Customer/Supplier.
Outbound:From Owned or Third Party to Customer/Supplier.
InterCompany: From Owned or Third Party to Owned or ThirdParty.
- Load Metrics
Avg Order Weight: Total shipment weight divided by total numberof orders shipped.
Miles Per Order: Total route miles for allshipments divided by total number of orders shipped.
Avg StopsPer Truck: Number of delivery stops divided by number of shipments.
AvgLbs Per Stop: Total weight of all shipments divided by total numberof delivery stops.
Avg Lbs Per LTL: Total weight for LTL shipmentsdivided by number of LTL shipments.
Total Orders: Count of allorders shipped.
Total Shipments: Count of all shipments.
Total Miles: Total route miles for all shipments.
CostPer Delivered Lb: Total freight costs all shipments divided by totalweight shipped.
% On Time: Number of shipments on time as apercentage of total number of shipments.
On Time is definedas:- An appointment was scheduled.
- The arrival was reported.
- The planned arrival time versus actual arrival time differencewas less than the In Tolerance Time.
% Reported: Number of deliveries reported as a percentageof total deliveries.
Reported is defined as:- An appointment was scheduled.
- The arrival was reported.
