Problem

Datasource connection against Db2 using JDBC option generate an error XQE-DS-0006 Unable to logon to the datasource error and "ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001". com.ibm.cognos.jdbc.adaptor.sqlexception.SQLCognosInvalidLogonException: The application server rejected establishment of the connection.

Symptom

XQE log has the following message
The application server rejected establishment of the connection.
An attempt was made to access a database, CFDB, which was either not found or does not support transactions. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08004
at com.ibm.cognos.jdbc.adaptor.AdaptorFactory.processSQLException(AdaptorFactory.java:387)
at com.ibm.cognos.jdbc.adaptor.ConnectionFactory.createAndWrapConnection(ConnectionFactory.java:176)
at com.cognos.xqe.data.providers.relational.jdbc.JDBCConnection.driverConnect
