java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException error occurs when trying to run Content Engine Bulk Import (CEBI)

Troubleshooting


Problem

Running Content Engine Bulk Import (CEBI) will trigger the following error in the journal log (C:\Program Files\IBM\FileNet\ContentEngine\tools\CEBI\journals\imp20130917): ERR: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException String index out of range: -1 - Stack Dump: [--] Message: String index out of range: -1 [ 9] java.lang.String(substring:-1) [ 8] bulkImport.CEConnection(findPath:372) [ 7] bulkImport.CEConnection(setJassConfig:382) [ 6] bulkImport.CEConnection(:177) [ 5] bulkImport.Globals(ceLogon:2430) [ 4] bulkImport.BI_Discovery$CE_Discovery(logon:148) [ 3] bulkImport.BI_Discovery(parseConfigCfg:1542) [ 2] bulkImport.BI_Discovery(run:1345) [ 1] java.lang.Thread(run:-1)
