Problem

Java applets in IBM ECM web clients may not work in FireFox 42 or higher.

Symptom

Java applets used to track files, print, and send emails, for example, may hang or fail to start. The problem can occur with any Java applet and continue to occur with future versions of Java.

Environment

The problem occurs in FireFox 42 or higher.

Resolving The Problem

Choose one of the following options to resolve the problem:

  • Use Internet Explorer.
