Item Description in an Order
When you update an order the Edit Order page displaysthe item description:
- If the order consists of one item Sterling TMS lists theitem description.
- If the order contains multiple items Sterling TMS displays thefirst item description followed by the + sign.
You cannot enter an item description on the New Order or EditOrder pages. To enter the description you have the following options:
- Click Add/View Items on the Edit Orderpage. The Shipping Units page opens where you can add the descriptionsand other attributes for each item in the order.
- Submitthe order in an EDI 204 transaction and specify the description inthe L502 segment.
- Submit the order in XML and specify the description in the Productline item of the Product Description.
