Question

Is it possible to detect whether a customer browser supports JavaScript?

Answer
Generally no data is transmitted across the network that can be used to detect whether a client browser supports JavaScript.? However typical techniques that are used for detecting JavaScript support might generate data that would be detectable on the network for example setting a cookie.

If there is no client-side JavaScript code already in your Web application that performs an operation that results in network-visible data to indicate JavaScript support (or lack thereof) then it would be necessary to implement such JavaScript code.? Aside from the usual ways of doing so the Tealeaf Client UI Capture JavaScript SDK could be used for this purpose.? If it never sent any data it can be inferred that that client has JavaScript disabled.
