IST314I  END

Cause

destination name applxxxx is not defined correctly to get across a border node to another netid.

Diagnosing The Problem

Review the VTAM messages on the VTAM where the originating LUxxxxx  requested the session to applxxxx

Resolving The Problem

The border node VTAM that connects to the other Network needs to receive a REAL name with the correct NETID instead of an ALIAS name as seen in the above messages. The border node had the correct adjacent cluster table coded for the adjacent netid with BNDYN=NONE. VTAM will not look at that table with an ALIAS name. A CDRSC has to be coded with NETID on the originating VTAM. This will give VTAM the REAL NETID so the Border node can route to that NETID. Or on the NEtowrk Node server or Border node code the same CDRSC with NETID but include the CPNAME keyword as well. CPNAME can be any name.
