Issue with FileNet Content Engine 5.2.1 Database Upgrade

Troubleshooting


Problem

After upgrade to CPE 5.2.1 errors are received during database migration

Symptom

The following errors are seen in the upgrade status and p8_server_error.log

Upgrade Status:

Exception encountered with upgrader task, attempt #4
com.filenet.api.exception.EngineRuntimeException: FNRCD0009E: DB_ERROR:
The database access failed with the following error: ErrorCode -968,
Message 'DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-968, SQLSTATE=57011, SQLERRMC=null,
DRIVER=4.15.113' SQL: ""INSERT INTO FNGCD (epoch_id, gcd_blob,
modify_date) VALUES (?, ?, ?)" In-bindings: (3019,[len=2035547]

p8_server_error.log

Cause

Database Transaction logs full

Resolving The Problem

  1. Clear the Database Transaction logs

  2. Restart the CPE jvm's
