ISCDC - ORA-01031, unable to change replication method

Troubleshooting


Problem

Error (event log/pop-up window): An error occurred while turning off supplemental logging for xxx.zzz. IBM InfoSphere Change Data Delivery is unable to change table capture for table xxx.zzz because it is unable to acquire a temporary lock on the table. A temporary lock is required to enable/disable supplemental logging for this table. Ensure that the table is not being used by another application and try again. Error (trace file): SHARED SCRAPE com.datamirror.ts.scrapers.oraclescraper.redo.OracleRedoLogConfig lockExclusiveTable() A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '1031'. The SQL state is: HY000. The error message is: |[CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01031: insufficient privileges| com.datamirror.ts.jdbc.oracle.OracleSqlException [CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Symptom

During change of replication method through Management Console to e.g. Refresh (Snapshot) below error has been thrown:
