Troubleshooting

Problem

WebSEAL 7.0 is unable to load the xtokenauthn.dll token-cdas and fails to start.

Symptom

The WebSEAL service cannot be started and the message log reports the following problems:

Diagnosing The Problem

Try to start the WebSEAL instance using the -foreground option. This will identify the missing librarie(s):

For example:

C:\Program Files\Tivoli\PDWeb\bin>webseald.exe -config etc\webseald-token.conf -foreground

Resolving The Problem

To load the xtokenauthn.dll library, the additional RSA provided library "aceclnt.dll"needs to be available to WebSEAL. Make sure that the path to this dll is in the PATH environment variable.
