Invalid username/password error when using external LDAP credentials

Troubleshooting


Problem

Users are not able to login using their current external LDAP credentials

Symptom

The following error is available in the engine logs:

10:02:16 [38909] ERROR USR=ABCDE, IXN=USRGETINFO, ERR=EINVAL, MSG=Invalid user name/password.
10:02:16 [38909] ERROR Java: com.initiatesystems.hub.ldap.adapter.connection.InitialLdapContextAdapter: javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials]
10:02:16 [38909] ERROR Java: com.initiatesystems.hub.engine.logic.AbstractEngineLogic: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Invalid user name and/or password.
10:02:16 [38909] ERROR Java: com.initiatesystems.hub.engine.logic.AbstractEngineLogic: Invalid user name/password.
