Invalid Binding Errors for Parameters in Report Administration

Troubleshooting

Problem

There are several causes of Invalid Binding Errors in the Report Parameters. One possible cause for this, especially if any Industry Solutions are installed is an incompatible version of axis.jar.

Symptom

When running reports, some of the report parameters display the message 'Invalid Binding'.

This only happens on Maximo installations with Industry Solutions installed.

Cause

There may be an improper version of the axis.jar file under \applications\maximo\lib folder.

Diagnosing The Problem

Check the date of this Axis.jar file. If this file has a 2009 date, then this file is likely incorrect. You can replace that axis.jar with the attached jar.

Only update your axis.jar if you DO NOT have Spatial installed. If you have Spatial installed you will need to use the current axis.jar.

Resolving The Problem

Replace this axis.jar file with the attached axis.jar file. Rebuild your Ear files, redeploy and restart Maximo.
