Problem
While using C++ projects in Visual Studio 2012 and above, you might encounter multiple Intellisense-related errors while performing these operations in a dynamic view: - Create New Project - Add Project to Source Control - View Class diagram of a file
Symptom
1. Creation of a new C++ project fails with the following explanation:
Despite the error, the project is successfully created without Intellisense information.
2. Addition of a C++ project to Source Control fails with the following explanation:
and for all the files in the project the following error message is displayed:
3. Viewing the class diagram of a file fails with the following explanation:
