Integration Framework Bidi APIs - Documentation and Customer Scenario Samples

News

Abstract

7.1.1.6 base services fix pack implements an interoperability enhancement that provides Maximo Integration Framework (I-F) with functionality to support bidirectional script processing.

Content

Bidirectional (Bidi) scripts are writing systems which include segments of text (in languages such as Arabic or Hebrew) which go from right to left, intermixed with numbers or segments of text (in Latin, Greek, or Cyrillic letters), which go from left to right. Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Urdu are examples of languages that use bidirectional scripts.

This 7.1.1.6 base services fix pack provides enhanced inbound/outbound processing functionality to support bidirectional text processing between Maximo Bidi format and different external systems' Bidi formats.

The attached document contains a detailed description of how to take advantage of this interoperability enhancement.
