Integrating IBM z/OS platform in CI/CD pipelines with GitLab

White Papers

Abstract

In the Continuous Integration area, orchestrators play a critical role in running pipelines, managing the various tasks that must be performed to build applications. Among popular DevOps solutions, GitLab proposes an extension of their Source Code Management solution with the GitLab CI/CD feature. This paper provides guidance on how to set up a GitLab runner to integrate z/OS platforms into GitLab CI/CD pipelines. It also proposes sample configurations to implement pipelines with GitLab CI/CD feature and extend them with IBM Z DevOps capabilities.
