Troubleshooting
Problem
When you install IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) version 8.5.7 using the Typical Installation option from the launchpad, the installation works until about 44% completion and then fails to configure the deployment manager or create the deployment manager profile.
Symptom
You see the following error message:
Configuring the deployment manager.
Creating the deployment manager profile.
The following validation errors were present with the command line arguments:
profileName: CWMCF8510E: You cannot augment a profile with Business Process Manager when the active Java version is 1.7. Use the managesdk command to switch to a supported Java version: [1.8].
CWMCB0003E: A profile was not created for DmgrProfile.
The 'BPMConfig.bat -create -de C:\Users\ADMINI˜1\AppData\Local\Temp\2\IBM_LaunchPad_BPM\IBM_LaunchPad_BPM202808-063710\SingleCluster.properties' command failed. For more information, see the log file C:\IBM\BPM\v8.5\logs\config\BPMConfig_20171108-072310.log.
