Problem
If certain errors persist (such "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown") even after upgrading the existing printer driver, it may be necessary to install the generic, text only printer driver to use as the default printer. It is usually not necessary to remove the other printers, simply ensure that the generic, text only driver is set as the default printer.
