Installing the fix pack

Use the command line to install the IBM? Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 Fix Pack 1.

Before you begin

The fix pack defines a user ID and password during installation.Before starting determine the user ID and password to be definedfor the Tivoli? Service Request Manager? administratorID and password.

About this task

There is an automatic prerequisite check included in thefix pack installation script where the script first checks installationprerequisites. Messages are displayed and output is written to a fixpack log file: preCheck_Topology_ioc_topo_date.log. Fordetails of the automatic prerequisite check messages see the relatedconcept linked at the end of the topic.
Procedure
  1. Log on to the event and management server asroot.
  2. Run the following command to start all components: 
    /opt/IBM/ISP/mgmt/scripts/IOCControl.sh start all password
    Where password isthe password for the IBM Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 administrator definedwhen the IBM Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 was installed.
  3. On the installation management servernavigate to the temporary directory where you copied the IBM Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 Fix Pack 1 installation files.
  4. Navigate to the fixpack directory. For example if you copied the files to the /images directorynavigate to /images/fixpack.
  5. Run the following command to start the fix pack installation: 
    /install.sh encryption key
    Thevalue of encryption key is the key used for encryptionand this key can be any value you choose. You provide this value thefirst time you run theinstall.sh script and thenprovide the same value when you run the install.sh scriptlater.
  6. Any errors detected during the installation are listed.if there is a problem you have the option to stop; or if there isnothing seriously wrong continue.

What to do next

When the installation is completed log on to the event and management server.Run the following commands to restart all components:
/opt/IBM/ISP/mgmt/scripts/IOCControl.sh stop all password/opt/IBM/ISP/mgmt/scripts/IOCControl.sh start all password
Where password isthe password for the IBM Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 administrator definedwhen the IBM Intelligent Operations Center 1.0 was installed.
