Installation Manager fails to install on Windows 2000 and Windows XP Service Pack 1

Troubleshooting


Problem

You install IBM Installation Manager on either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1. The installation fails.

Symptom

Cause

Starting in version 1.5.2, Installation Manager requires Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or later. Windows 2000 is not a supported platform.

Resolving The Problem

Update your platform to Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or later. Then install Installation Manager.
