This Fix Pack is a cumulative maintenance package for a specific combination of product and platform. It is a single package that bundles a number of individual fixes.
The V6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3 is intended to be used on IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server installations.

Fix Pack contents
V6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3 includes the following files, or there equivalent on the supported environments:
6.1.0-WS-WASSDK-WinX32-FP0000031
6.1.0-WS-WAS-WinX32-FP0000031.pak
6.2.0-WS-WPBS-WinX32-FP0000003.pak
Fix Pack prerequisites
To use this Fix Pack, you must have IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2 installed with or without maintenance, prior to installing this Fix Pack.
Hardware and software prerequisites for IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server are available on the web on its Hardware and Software Support pages. Select the operating system where IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.3 will be running to view supported software options.

Ensure that the required disk space is available prior to installing the Fix Pack. See the Space requirements section for details.
Space requirements
Space requirements vary depending on your platform. The size of each download is available on the download page, IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server V6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3.
| Installing and using the Fix Pack |
It is recommend that you back up your WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2 profiles before installing the WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3.
Note: If you have a Network Deployment environment, perform the following steps for each server where you are applying the Fix Pack.
- Stop the server and the running processes for the profile that you want to back up.
- Create a directory to store the backup of the profile.
For example:
- Go to the following directory:
- Run the following command:
- The console should display the following message:
- Back up the following files located in the <pub_root>/installableApps.wpbs dir for EAR files:

Steps for installing
NOTE: Although version 6.2 of WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server is supported on the Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 operating systems, the installation wizard returns an error or warning if you try to install the product on these operating systems. You can ignore the warning; click Next to continue with the installation. For further details and recommendations see Installing version 6.2 of the product on Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 systems.
Before you install IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3, note the following:
- In a stand-alone environment, you must stop the server to install WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3. Use this link for instructions:

- Under the Download packages section, download 6.2.0-WS-WPBS-<OS>-FP0000003 archive (see the download document, WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3 and select the appropriate link for your environment under the Download package section).
- Download and install the Update Installer for WebSphere Application Server (see the download document, WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3 and select the appropriate link for your environment under the Prerequisites section).
- Extract the archive 6.2.0-WS-WPBS-<OS>-FP0000003 contents to the maintenance directory under the Update Installer installation that is completed in the previous step.
- Launch Update Installer.
- Select the path where you want to install WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3.
- Select Install Maintenance Package.
- Specify the location of the Fix Pack.
- Ensure that the Fix Pack (6.2.0.0-WS-WPBS-<OS>-FP0000003.pak), and other prerequisite updates (6.1.0-WS-WASSDK-<OS>-FP0000031, 6.1.0-WS-WAS-<OS>-FP0000031.pak) are selected and click Next to install the Fix Pack.
- Verify that the Success message is displayed.
- In a stand-alone environment, start the server. Use this link for instructions:

Steps for updating
You must update the following WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server applications in your clusters or servers after applying WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3:

Note: In step 4b of the procedure documented at the above location, where you use the update wizard to specify or edit application binding information, do not modify any information. Click Next on each page of the wizard until you reach the last page, then continue with step 5 (where you will click Finish on the last page of the wizard).

Before you uninstall IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3, do the following:

- Select the WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server installation location from where you are removing WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3.
- Ensure that you have selected the correct Fix Pack (6.2.0.0-WS-WPBS-FP0000003.pak) and click Next to uninstall the Fix Pack.
- Verify that the Success message is displayed.

Steps to restore applications after uninstalling
You must restore the following WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server applications in your clusters or servers after uninstalling WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server 6.2.0.0 Fix Pack 3:
