Install Maximo Mobile On An Android Device From SD Card

Question

Is it possible to copy the mobile installer onto an AD card and use that to perform my mobile installs?

Answer

You can use an SD card to install mobile onto your devices.

1) From the server that Maximo Mobile is installed copy the MobileInst.apk and installer.properties files located in the android installer folder Maximo_home\maximo\mobiletools\installers\android

2) Insert the SD card into the mobile device

3)Using a file explorer application navigate to the SD card where you copied the installer

4)Click on the MobileInst.apk file.

This will launch the mobile installer. Now you can enter the server, port and valid user/password and install the mobile applications.
