Troubleshooting
Problem
Users may experience Input/Output Hub (IOH) over temp issues when running Integrated Management Module (IMM) code below 91K. IPMI:(03/22/2011 20:47:55) Processor or I/O module 1 (Temperature - IOH Temp Status): Assertion: Transition to Critical from less severe. When two (2) processors are installed, users may see the above IPMI events.

This tip is not software specific.
This tip is not option specific.
The system is configured with two (2) CPU's.
The versions previous to 91K firmware for the IMM is affected.
Solution
This behavior is corrected in IMM code level 91K.
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:
Additional information
This is due to fan speed calculation. The IMM 91K addresses this by changing the temp/altitude algorithm of fan speed to compensate for the second processor.
