Why do inline edit and inline create no longer work after upgrading IBM Rational ClearQuest from 18.104.22.168 to 22.214.171.124 or any later version?
This happens because the default value for user group to restrict the inline edit and create features in 126.96.36.199 was incorrectly set to the empty string.
- In 188.8.131.52, that value means the features were not restricted in any way.
- In 184.108.40.206 and later versions, an empty string means the features are enabled for no groups.
To restore the settings of the inline edit and inline create features after an upgrade from 220.127.116.11, check the values of Allow Inline Create Groups and Allow Inline Editing Groups in the Application Options tab of the Site Configuration dialog.
If either one is empty, set the value to "Everyone" so that all users can again use the features.
If either configuration option already has a value, there is no need to change it.
