Ingress controller may stop processing requests and hang

Troubleshooting


Problem

Prod Mgt - "An unknown Server Error Occured : 502 API Error" return when accessing the manage catalog page

Symptom

Symptoms are that one node in the cluster may become unresponsive to requests (either through the UI or curl calls). The logs of the ingress controller pods may not show any trace of the requests, or it may show errors such as 
2019/06/04 05:34:35 [error] 162#162: *29280 broken header: "��" while reading PROXY protocol, client: 10.241.xxx.xx, server: 0.0.0.0:80
