Problem
An error occurred retrieving the list of metadata interchange servers. com.ascential.xmeta.exception.ServiceException
Symptom
Error encountered attempt to open Metadata Interchange Servers interface to get availability list.
Cause
Incorrect xmeta password
Diagnosing The Problem
SystemErr.log shows:
00000048 SystemErr R java.sql.SQLException: [jcc][t4][2012][11248][3.58.135] Connection
authorization failure occurred. Reason: Password expired.
ERRORCODE=-4214, SQLSTATE=28000DSRA0010E: SQL State = 28000, Error Code = -4,214
Around the same time stamp you will see on SystemOut.log:
00000048 gui E IMAM_GUI> An error occurred retrieving the list of metadata interchange servers. com.ascential.xmeta.exception.ServiceException at
com.ibm.mmi.ejb.ImportManagerClientProxy.invoke(ImportManagerClientProxy.java:59)
at $Proxy49.getAllBridgeServers(Unknown Source)
Resolving The Problem
This usually indicates that xmeta password is incorrect or may have expired.
Check if the xmeta password been used is correct.
