Troubleshooting
Problem
When IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management 12.0 is installed with IBM® Db2® 11.5 as the database, you can encounter an error when you run the console.sh script. The console.sh script is used to modify the configuration of the CONFIGELEMENT table. It is located in the <MDM_INSTALL_HOME>/ManagementAgent folder.
This issue occurs in both on-premises and containerized deployments of InfoSphere® MDM 12.0.
Symptom
The following exception occurs when running the script file console.sh:
ERROR - com.ibm.websphere.naming.CannotInstantiateObjectException: Exception occurred while the JNDI NamingManager was processing a javax.naming.Reference object. [Root exception is java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException]
