Troubleshooting
Problem
After applying JR55455, you might find that the istool command does not work correctly and that you cannot login to the Information Server Manager. Details of the fix for JR55455 can be found in the security bulletin http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21982420
Symptom
The following issues can occur after JR55455 installed.
ISTOOL:
When running the istool export command, although the export command executes, no error or message is displayed and an export file is not created.
Information Server Manager:
When trying to log in to the Information Server Manager, when you click TEST or OK in the GUI mode, the hour glass appears and then stops. You can continue to click TEST again or OK but there is no response and you are not able to login.
In both cases, the error following messages appear in the istool log (istool_workspace\.metadata\.log) and Information Server Manager workspace log (C:\Users\<home>\ismanager_workspace\.metadata\.log)
ISTOOL:

Information Server Manager:
After installation of 11.5 Fix Pack 2, ISM would not open; the flash screen for the product would appear for a few seconds and close. No messages are generated in the log.
