InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage Operations Console disk space monitoring does not work with non-ascii characters in the path name

Troubleshooting

Problem

Within the InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage Operations Console, you can specify disks to monitor for free space. To do so, you specify the disk path names. If you specify a disk path name that contains non-ascii characters, then no space information is collected for that disk.

Symptom

The Operations Console user interface does not show any disk information for a specified disk and the path name for the disk contains non-ascii characters.
