Information Server 11.5 installer gets rc=67 when installing bundled DB2.

Troubleshooting


Problem

The installation of Information Server 11.5 on AIX terminates due to receiving error 67 while performing the install of bundled DB2 product on AIX if install user (root) has defined both LANG=ES_ES and LC_ALL=ES_ES

Symptom

Information Server install reports that DB2 install failed with error 67.
Additionally, the install may leave behind in the /tmp directory file with name such as:
/tmp/db2prereqcheck.log.1234567

which contains message such as:
DBT3516E The db2prereqcheck utility was unable to execute the following command: "LANG = C prtconf | grep "Processor Implementation Mode" > /tmp/db2prereqcheck.9633846".

or:

DBT3516E El programa de utilidad db2prereqcheck no ha podido ejecutar el mandato siguiente: "LANG=C prtconf | grep "Processor Implementation Mode" > /tmp/db2prereqcheck.9633846".
