Information Analyzer "divide by zero" error when perform column analysis with random sample.

Troubleshooting

Problem

When Information Analyzer user perform column analysis and selects to use a random sample of data, "divide by zero" error occurs.

Resolving The Problem

When Information Analyzer user perform column analysis and selects to use a random sample of data, "divide by zero" error occurs.

This occurs due to having percent field set to 0.

On the Run Column Analysis panel, you can select to use Sample data. If the sample type is set to Random, then 2 additional fields are unlocked: Seed and Percent. The seed field is pre-filled with a valid value, but the percent field must be set to a value between 1 and 100.

The following page in the online manual discusses the requirements and usage of the percent field, which should be set not only to a value between 1 and 100, but also a value that will produce the same number of sample records as defined in the sample Size field:

If the value is left at 0, then "divide by zero" error will display.
