Resolving The Problem

Software version for:
OS: MAC OS 10
Filenet Software: Quadra eForms 4.02 on a Mac OS10
3rd party softare: IE on Mac OS 10
Steps to verify that this problem applies:
Quadra eForms 4.02 on a Mac OS10, have a web link to a blank .ifm file, using IE to download file, try to open, choose inform Quadra, could not open the .ifm file. Received "unhandled file type" when trying to open the file.

Steps to resolve the problem for Mac IE:

IE>Preferences>File Helper>Add>

Description>Inform
Extension>.ifm
File Type>.ifm
File Creator>Browse to Inform
Handling>View with Application
Browse to select Inform Desktop eForms
