Re-import of large database is very slow
Resolving the problem
Use delta import from IMAM UI for large database re-import. This feature will fetch only changed metadata from source database which will speedup the re-import.
Supported connectors
- DB2
- Oracle
- Netezza
- Teradata
Steps to use delta import feature
On import parameters screen check "Share only changed assets"
Notes
When the user checks "Share only changed assets" on the import parameter screen and re-imports the metadata, on the preview screen users will be able to see the changed tables with the contained assets. Unchanged table(s) will be represented as table(s) without any contained assets.
