- System x3850 (Type 8864) top cover label FRU 41Y7765 lists the Processor tray assembly FRU as 41Y3157 which is incorrect and incompatible with Type 8864. - System x3800 (Type 8866) top cover label FRU 41Y7767 lists the Processor tray assembly FRU as41Y3157 which is incorrect and incompatible with Type 8866. - System x3950 (Type 8878) top cover label FRU 42D3919 lists the Processor tray assembly FRU as 41Y3156 which is incorrect and incompatible with Type 8878.

  • System x3800 (type 8866) top cover label (replacement part number 41Y7767) lists the processor tray assembly (Field Replaceable Unit) FRU as 41Y3157 which is incorrect and incompatible with type 8866.
  • System x3850 (type 8864) top cover label (replacement part number 41Y7765) lists the processor tray assembly FRU as 41Y3157 which is incorrect and incompatible with type 8864.
  • System x3950 (type 8878) top cover label (replacement part number 42D3919) lists the processor tray assembly FRU as 41Y3156 which is incorrect and incompatible with type 8878.

The top cover FRU labels on machine types 8864, 8866, and 8878 servers have incorrect FRU part numbers for the processor tray assembly, which could lead to the wrong FRU part replacement and result in a system-down situation.

Ignore the FRU part number for the processor tray assembly on the label and check the IBM support web site for the correct replacement part number for the particular machine type and model.
