Troubleshooting
Problem
Incorrect port value in the web server definition can cause the administrative console to falsely report the web server as 'Stopped'
Symptom
The WebSphere Application Server administrative console shows the 'Stopped' status (red X icon) for a particular web server even when the web server is confirmed to be up and running.
Additionally, for IBM HTTP Servers, attempting to start the web server from the administrative console might report one of the following errors:
| Webserver <webserver_name> could not be started. View server logs for further details. |
| Windows Service name <ihs_service_name> on <node_name> Web server could not be started. |
