Problem

An "Incorrect IBM Cloud infrastructure account" error is seen when working with clusters

Resolving The Problem

What';s Happening

You see the following error message:
Incorrect IBM Cloud infrastructure account, <account1>. Credentials for account <account2> required
Why';s it Happening

This error message indicates that the credentials are not correct for the IBM Cloud Infrastructure account that is associated with the machine.
How to Fix

You can fix this issue using one of the following methods:
  • If the cluster was originally created using a linked infrastructure account, you can run the following command to use the linked infrastructure account: bx cs credentials-unset

  • If the previous method does not resolve the problem or you are not using a linked infrastructure account, run the following command to reset the credentials for IBM Cloud infrastructure account: bx cs credentials-set
Note: An IBM Cloud Infrastructure user whose credentials you set must have permission to access the worker machines. For information on how to verify that the IBM Cloud Infrastructure user access to worker machines, see the Permission Enforcement in the SoftLayer API article.
