Improper LDAP configuration error when logging into ClearQuest

Troubleshooting


Problem

An "Improper LDAP configuration" error occurs when LDAP enabled users log into IBM Rational ClearQuest.

Symptom

Here is the full error message:


Invalid Credential: Either the login name or the password is incorrect.
The LDAP server returned this error: Improper LDAP configuration: There are 2 LDAP user accounts that have "cn=<cqlogin>". Please contact your CQ Administrator to resolve this issue with your LDAP administrator.
