Abstract
Users running Android devices (with multiple OS versions) are encountering significant delays in installing Google Play Store apps on their devices after completing the enrollment process. This delay, stemming from significant delays in app distribution from Google, is causing substantial disruption for MaaS360 users.

Issue
When Android devices (with multiple OS versions) were enrolled, it took up to eight hours to install Google Play Store apps on the devices. At the group or device, users got the existing apps that were installed post-enrollment until the administrator pushes a change from the MaaS360 portal to distribute a new app or re-distribute the same app in App Management.
Solution
MaaS360 and Google teams collaborated to resolve this issue. Google's engineering team updated their documentation to change the sequence of steps during enrollment. MaaS360 team implemented the same changes. The device policy containing a list of apps was assigned to the device first, and then the Google account was added to the device. This change helps to ensure that the previously distributed Google Play Store apps are available and installed within a few minutes. This enhancement in efficiency and speed of the installation process makes for a smoother and more seamless experience for users.

- This solution is specific to Google Play Store apps and does not apply to Enterprise apps.
