Abstract
Can I run the same code ImagePlus Workstation Program code that I used to run on Windows XP on a Windows 7 or Windows 2008 machine?

You cannot run the SETUP.EXE that you used to install ImagePlus Workstation Program on Windows XP or Windows Vista. That SETUP.EXE will not work on Windows 7 or Windows 2008.

For customers with a need to run IWPM on Windows 7 or Windows 2008, IBM is offering an installation process that is available by request only. While the installation process is different than the one provided for Windows XP (i.e., does not use InstallShield), the installation process and runtime portion of IWPM are tested, certified and fully supported on both Windows 7 and Windows 2008. If you are interested, contact your local IBM software support team (1-800-IBM-SERV for North America) for more details.
IWPM running on Windows 7 is supported on a machine running single processor mode only. The directions for setting this up are in the "Related information" section below.
There are currently no plans to support any version of Windows after Windows 7.
Per Announcement Letter 916-117, IBM Content Manager ImagePlus Workstation Program will go out of support on September 30, 2018. The underlying server products will also go out of support on the same date, September 30, 2018. The end of support announcement for IBM DB2® Content Manager for iSeries (and thus the optional feature used by IWPM named WAF or Workfolder Application Facility) is listed in the same Announcement Letter 916-117, while IBM Content Manager ImagePlus® Folder Application Facility for OS/390® and IBM Content Manager ImagePlus Object Distribution Manager for OS/390 are listed in Announcement Letter 917-008.
