Image Services fails to initialize the Remote Oracle with <121, 1, 1950>

Troubleshooting

Problem

When Oracle database is located on a Remote server, the INXdbgen, which is invoked by ‘fn_util init’ procedure to initialize the Image Services Relational Database, errors out with <121, 1, 1950> error tuple.

Symptom

The following log entries are displayed when ‘fn_util init’ invokes INXdbgen:

Logging on to database.
Creating Index Database tables.
Dropping table sys_numbers.
Creating table sys_numbers.
Create Public Synonym sys_numbers for sys_numbers
Grant select privilege on table sys_numbers to f_sqi
Error (121, 1, 1950)

Here, “oerr ora 1950” means:

01950, 00000, "no privileges on tablespace '%s'"

// *Cause: User does not have privileges to allocate an extent in the
// specified tablespace.
// *Action: Grant the user the appropriate system privileges or grant the user
// space resource on the tablespace.
